Fort Walton Beach Golf Club offers two courses. The Pines Course is more than 6800 yards that runs through, you guessed it, an upland pine forest. The Oaks Course is 6400 yards and provides oak-lined fairways that are narrow and challenging, while also throwing in some precarious water hazards.

If you have a bad day, head over in the evening, where you can hit some golf balls on the lighted driving range. Another great semi-private location is the Indian Bayou Golf Club, where again you find two challenging courses plus a driving range, putting greens, pro shop and restaurant. If you are new to the game, most courses offer club rentals and lessons. The Fred Couples Signature Golf Course is also semi-private and is a soft spike facility with four sets of tees to accommodate all levels of golfer. With more than 16 area courses from which to choose, you are sure to find the course that is just right for you, if your golf game just didn't travel with you to Fort Walton Beach, there is always miniature golf, which you find scattered through the area. It's always good to work on your putting skills while maneuvering around a windmill and steaming waterfalls, right?
